Spring Thaw

The words
frozen in ice for so long
burst forth,
a primal keening
of long trapped anguish
and the delight
of freedom anticipated.

Pain forgotten,
the journey of joy
and death
began once more.

Ah Yes! Refreshed, and good to see it my friend. These wrods seem to fly in the open air, without care or foresight. Simply refreshing and purely elevating. Glad your muse came out of hiding. I enjoyed the revelation!

Interesting. This read to me as the birth of a poem.

"Frozen in ice" would indicate a blockage, we all know that sometimes, no matter how strong the feeling, the need to express, all the wanting in the world sometimes cannot push the words forth.

"Burst forth" is exactly how it feels when the gates give way.

I love the last line, well, in the way I am thinking of it I love it. "And death began once more" made me think of the fact that as soon as we are born, we begin to die. This is something I've been contemplating recently, so I related well to the poem in this light.

Pretty tight too, a skill I have yet to acquire myself.

    Thank you for the read.

    intrigue

a sudden gust of wind blown sand and an earthen jar revealed, containing a gnostic gospel of the 'Great Betrayer' stating / "I was just doing what HE told me to do." ... and a NEW Religion was borne onto the desert.
