From sturdy oak, Endurance, 3 masted barquentine,
sets sail for ice cold waters, to a wilderness obscene.
Where nature casts cold shadows, in a cauldron made of ice,
Antarctica, ice wilderness, explorers to entice.
In journeys of heroic verse, great deeds from men will be,
through an ocean of discovery, to the frozen Weddell Sea.
Nature with her cruellest face, her secrets to be kept,
mans quest for further knowledge, she refusues to accept.
In frozen jaws and ice cold teeth, Endurance now is held,
crushed slowly by its captor, its fate becomes compelled.
Deserted by brave sailors, its fate they watch in tears,
with groaning planks of frozen wood it slowly disappears.

What a great story told with your poem, the sad story of the ship encased in a frozen death. You used the prompt in such a unique way, and wrote a beautiful poem, thank you so much. (and a great graphic too!)
