Many times I have wondered,
Who is in Hell because of me?
Who did I ignore with the truth?
What in my life did they see?
When I was scared to bring witness,
Was I their only chance to know?
That Christ died for all our sins,
He could wash them white as snow.
When I failed as a Christian,
Did my witness take a hit?
Making someone really wonder,
Why in church did I sit?
It is their sin that had them lost,
A fact I surely know is true.
But my life should reflect and say,
Christ redemption is for them too.
One day I will have to answer,
To the God of all the lands.
I will have to explain to Him,
About the blood stains on my hands.

Bravo!
I really loved this because just recently we have new owners at my nursing home now and they pushed having strippers for the residents and I was one that would take a stand about the take on it, lust, then you know the hand jive nonsense, or those still wanting to go off in their rooms together somewhere or even those that want to say they once were in the closet, so we may know or not realized our disobdience. Deserving of the honorable mention, even more if you put this in other contests...get the message out dear one.

TRUTH
Wow we are all guilty of this one who believe. What a great message for us all. Thank goodness for the Lord's grace. This poem definitely makes you think. I just loved it and the flow was excellent as well. Congradulations on the green.
Wishing You Many Blessings
Much Love,
Kelle Marie

Very Moving
Enough to bring the strongest person to tears. Very good write. And who knows....with this one poem you could very easily touch the hearts of several people. Maybe being a witness even when you weren't working at it exactly. Great write! Keep up the good writing, my friend1 -

Thank you sure hope it makes others look at how they act and watch what they do. Hope I can think before I do when reacting to things.

Nicely done here my friend,
If this comes from a place of reality...
i sure as hell can relate
Its not easy to wash the blood stains on our hands,
they constantly remind us through memory.
Powerful write you've penned
Thanks for the entry
All the best

The Difference Between Doing and Being...
A thoughtful write. As if the writer was encouraging himself in the Lord, like David did in his psalms.
This is why we have the BE-atitudes from Jesus, not the Do-atitudes. If we abide in Him we will BE as we meant. If we're witnessing because we are close to Him, we are fulfilling His plan. Apples appear on apple trees because they are being apple trees. One never see fruit trees sweating to produce fruit. They simply abide in the soil and receive nourishment. As a result more fruit trees come to be.
May we be who we are...in Him.

Amen, this was more for me to take a look at myself than anything.

A lovely and meaningful piece...
A lovely and meaningful piece; ultimately, everyone is responsible for their own actions; although we may blow the opportunity to witness directly to someone, one must hope that our Christian lifestyle (which is of our own choosing), should be self-evident to draw the lost/unsaved to Christ; if our Christian life is hidden under a basket (for no one to see), then we should take a (figurative) beating for it; after all, if we're ashamed of Him, He'll be ashamed of us before the Judgment Seat of Jehovah; wonderfully written. --Joe

Amen, Amen. We must put our lives out their if we live for Christ, no matter how it effects us. You have stated it perfectly.

This is a powerful poem, and I believe we all will have things to answer for in our lives. None of us are perfect, and are not expected to be. I believe that as long as we always do our best, and continue to learn and grow from our experiences, good or bad, that is what will count in the end. Great, thought provoking write! Blessings, Patty

Thank you, I just pray that my life will make others want to accept, Christ not turn away.

Wow, this is unsettling, just to say the very least...we have to live in such an introspective mode, don't we? For we do have a God to answer to indeed...I got an awefully lot out of this write, reminders, ect lol and good luck in the contest

God is within all of us, we can try to plant seeds in others,
but within us all are seeds that God has planted in us
we need to see them to hear them.
you my friend can hear them and see them because you wanted to.
we all need to do this on our own.
because when they don't search for themselves, they won't truly understand, your words will have no meaning to them, physically we can help but spiritually they have to help themselves.
you are indeed a compassionate man with a wonderful heart
I don't think you need to worry.
another wonderful write
God bless...

Thank you for reading and commenting. I know there is nothing I can do to save the lost, but after reading scripture I think I am responsible for how I live and to mirror Jesus the best I can. Since I am not perfect ( a shock to some I know lol) I will fail in the flesh, Just hope it isn't bad enough that it leads someone astray.
