So Serious

The game is unique, a bit like that pool,
You need a big table and a rather large tool
to hit each ball and send it to score
higher than partner who also wants more.

The aim of the game is to tickle the flower,
The one in the middle delighting with power.
Each time that you hit it, it shines mystic light,
Sings a sweet song with charm and delight.

My dream made me scream and fall out of bed
So bad was the crash that I did in my head.
I still get these pictures of ball games and such
and sadly I walk with the aid of a crutch.

The truth of this story I avow and declaim;
Making poems from pictures ain't been the same
Since I entered this contest with one day left open,
Now I remain fully shattered and broken.

Hmmm... I haven't seen the picture yet but I like your effort at metered rhyme. Three clappies and a "best o' luck in the contest!"

Mate if this is alluding to what I think it's alluding to, then I have discovered that no matter how old we are us men usually have one thing on our mind. Brilliantly written by the way....have some clappies

Very different from the others. A strange take on the picture, but very good none the less. I am delighted to see a poem that well stands out from the others. Thank you for entering.

Very comical take on this picture and a little risque, too, I believe.
