The water wall whacks everything in its path,
leaving behind old friends, and new shores.
Indescriminent in its killing,
it washes away
the trusting,
the unsuspecting,
the houses with no doors.
Water way rights,
what waters left wrong.
Water will find its own path,
when dam memories are gone.
Is this the evil side of water,
or is it another God facade?
We used the water to baptize.
The river held our souls up to God,
Who's idea was it?
Trusting water, trusting friend.
Nature can be an angry mistress,
never tame, feral to the end.
Nature is a wild and
unpredictable protector.
Familiar brooks and streams become unrecognizable,
the 'four-horsemen-of-the-apocalypse' specter.
The water wall whacks everything in its path,
leaving behind old friends, and new shores.
Indescriminent in its killing,
it washes away
the trusting,
the unsuspecting,
the houses with no doors.
