I was -
just another face,
to lean toward the wind
as clack
of frozen crystals
break away,
falling to the floor
I am bone,
without flesh
…in refrain
laid wordless
in a world,
of poetries grave
Author notes
i think, my poetry life draws to a conclusion... a meaningless balloon of words, floating to nowhere

Mal,
I do believe we all have moments like this...I had mine a month or so ago...lol
Put just as your words are here, is your heart and that shall never change...so I am pretty sure you will always have a need to write your wonderful thoughts on paper...excellent as always, my friend!
Love,
mystic

ooooh, no you don't, Mally. Don't you dare say your poetry days are over. Get that pen up and moving, because you are one of my favorites - this poem is proof positive there is so much more waiting in the horizon.
Love, Lane

excellent expression
Your words express such sadness. You tell of the end of poetry, but I must say, you surely do not have anything to worry about.
Good luck in this contest!

I like your different view point. Hopefully this won't be the end of poetry.
