A way to lovely green things grow
A way to lovely pour the drink
A way to lovely extramural think.
You Phoenix up
Buttercup.
You don't give up
You burn to life
You cleanse your strife;
Phoenix up
You Phoenix up.
There is a certain dance you live to do
When your world it comes unglued
You grab your love and spin around
You hold my love and leave the ground
You grab my love, and listen
You feel my love and listen.
You phoenix up,
with a well stretched frame
You phoenix up,
through all the shame.
You phoenix up;
Then blaze I the black,
And shriek fire to all,
"That love is what shall bring me back."
"That love did break my Phoenix' fall."

you realize, it's been three years since you wrote this, and three years later i still love it just as much.

WOW! I love the musical feeling to this, I could have sang to it! lol that first stanza had to be one of my favorites, the third one too, “that love is what shall bring me back” < placed where it is it is perfect in every way. The whole thing flowed pleasently, I couldn’t find anything at all wrong with it. one again your way of writing makes this origional and beautiful, I truly loved this
(i feel like ive just posted an understatement)

I wish I could say something more clever than what im typing now but I can't. I'm speechless. i can't describe this. definitely one of your best. Anything else i'll say won't be enough to describe this and the sad part is that I truly mean it and i'm not sucking up (since I don't have a reason to and I love posting bad comments). Great write!

"Splendid"... Sounds like something I'd say?lol
-
Splendid.

pheonix...interesting outlook on that. So many old tales have portrayed the pheonix in so many different ways that it's refreshing to see the pheonix portrayed in a lighter view, most of the time its such a solemly happy bird...and how many people are solemly happy? Good perspective, good write all around. spiffiful!

Wow...
Lyrics rh? This is truely stunning, really amazing. I wish I could write like this. I really do- I always seem to have a deadening depressiveness surrounding verything I write. I guess that's just me. I'm assuming this is set to some form of rock? If not I apologise. It's so beautiful, what a gesture. Very Powerful- I can give this nothing but praise. Which is rare

That's because this is possibly one of the best things I've written this year, and it's yours. happy valentine's day my lovely loyal hound.
you deserve more, and If I get mine, we'll ratify that situation. -
*curlz up*
it's a good thing i know exactly where this is...
i still feel like ass, but at least someone cares.
i think im going to go and sleep with this for a while..

This is very sweet. There is nothing quite like poetry to sooth the soul, and when it is written directly for someone, that person owns it, and will keep it forever and ever.
It is obvious Nyx is very pleased.
/f afterall, it is a beautiful poem. -
*curls up on horus's lap*....*reads poem again...and again*

The Fire...She Burns!
Ah Horus8....you da man. Nice write, but then, you've seen the fire that gives rebirth ain'tcha ... down there, under the freeways in the dry riverbeds built in concrete and denial.
I think you captured the phoenix metaphor quite well and embued it with your own charm. -
I have known Nyx for a long time and she so deserves this. I have to thank you for writing something like this for my pretty little friend. A wonderful person, damn good friend and just really damn cool she is. A phoenix never had eyes so grey.
-
very nicely done here, sounds very very lyrical, i like the way it flowed especially in the third stanza, and i like the rhyme scheme here, it actually pushed it alone because it didnt sound forced, nice work here indeed

I'm very pleased with it, you deserve it. It's your flag.

A little more archaic than most of your stuff. something kind of mystical about it. interesting, and maybe im just a shitty poet, but i really couldnt feel any gaps. quality write, as always.

Kinda reminded me of phoenix down from the Final Fantasy series, and since phoenix down brought you back to life...hypothetically in their worlds phoenix up would kill you...but that doesn't really make any sense does it? Well, good lyrics nonetheless!
-
Maybe you should learn about the Phoenix then child.
-
interesting but need to fill in the gapes to open and can't make heads nor tails of this one but it was a fun read in a rhyming sort of way
-
Have you ever looked at your poetry and thought "Hey I drink pee and I'm stupid?".
-
Okay pogo... I'll try.
-
man I am feeling what you are trying to say and at points you are really killing it but then you slip off keep penning though I think you've got something here
