Night comes but once a day
the cycle never fails.
It drops down with silence,
draping me in moon spun veils,
sweeps me away to dreamland,
a world of magic tales
a land of wonder,
of wild and awesome things
the wild cat in the jungle
the tumbling mountain springs
cool water for my brow,
a ribbon for my wings.
A place to lose inhibitions
to let my spirits fly,
indulge my fantasies,
the dream of you and I,
of perfect days of splendor
beneath the brilliant sky,
of flowers blooming everywhere
in glorious profusion,
unhampered by the everyday
problems and confusion,
or any sign of realities
invasion or intrusion.

Very nice indeed ...
and congratulations on garnering another Gold trophy. I rarely get them nowadays. Almost never, as a matter of fact.
Anyway, it's an excellent poem.

So deserving of gold trophy. Subtle poetic technique used take the reader through a wonderful journey to dreamland where magic and wild animal free inhibitions and spirits fly. Compelling and bears rereading.

this is full of powerful imagery. all i can say is wow!!

I think your resulting poem sparked by the picture is so well constructed and meaningful.
draping me in moon spun veils,
sweeps me away to dreamland,
absolutely magical.. The poem is in fact beyond and an improvement on what I see as a rather odd picture. Well done.

A fine colage of pictures defined beautifully by this collection of symbolism. It was well constructed to lead the reader through a intriguing journey of dream like surrealism.
