You—
You think you’re a pillar of righteousness,
A beacon, a city upon a hill,
You’re a two-faced slug who condemns hypocrisy,
A field of mines who detests explosion,
A war who is above violence.
You’re a poet who can’t find his way with words,
But that doesn’t matter,
What words you use, they’re the sweetest prose
Because you can do now wrong.
Ah, but what will you do when you’re all alone?
When your foundation crumbles,
Will you deny it?
And your light is just too bright,
And it sets your world on fire?
And when you lie abandoned,
Your inhabitants fled from invading foes?
What then, oh Mighty One,
What will you do?

Very well done.
Though... I'm not sure this is what the option called for, I detect resentment more than love with this piece, it's still beautiful, and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for entering.
