Helping one in need
might seem such a dreaded chore
muscle and mind drained

Yet, do help others
for a heart beating with joy
happiness of mind

Author notes

Of all the things in life that have caused happiness within me, I consistently find that the greatest sense of satisfaction and joy I feel is when I do for others; whether it be to help someone financially or spiritually or even by performing hard physical labor. It is a joy that defies description, for it not only touches our hearts and minds, it reaches to the very soul of us. And, if anyone suffers with depression, helping others is, by far, the greatest cure.

    Beautiful

This is lovely. You summed up the secret to happiness that is for sure. It is much more blessed to give then to receive that is for sure. Thank you for sharing a piece of your beautiful gift to write poetry.

    Wishing You Many Blessings,
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
    Love In Christ,

I agree Bonnie, and it's as much that way for me. Giving is always the fount of happiness for me. It's something that never stops giving in return. Such simple words, but with such deep meaningful truth.

    Mom,

I only wish I could feel helpful to someone these days. It would make my days brighter to help another in need, barely able to take care of myself at this point in time.

Good to see you posting! Hope all is well! I still love ya bunches!

Look around you, sweetheart, there are so many people in need: sometimes it is the simple things, like helping with cleaning, that means the most to those in need.

Love ya tons and more, MomB
