Love Crash

Casual conversation
Full of teenage anticipation.
Approaching the end of a road,
Erie and Lewis,
Heading off to the show,
Looking at her face, I anxiously await,
Two carefree teens on their very first...CRASH!!

And all was silent,
As if no collision had occured,
And the two lovers were quiet,
Love needs no words.

Last night, literally a minute after picking up my girlfriend, I witnessed firsthand the worst car crash I have ever experienced, getting hit in the side by a car speeding. All I could think about is whether she was all right. As her eyes opened, smoke pouring from under the hood, our eyes met...and we smiled...
