"I lift my eyes unto the hills,
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
Maker of Heaven and Earth"
Psalms 121 1&2
This verse from the bible is one of the first I ever learned by heart.
I heard it in a song actually.
Praise You In This Storm, by Casting Crowns.
"And I will praise you in this storm...
And I will lift my hands...
Because you are who you are...
No matter where I am...
And every tear I've cried...
You hold in your hands...
You've never left my side...."
It's one of my all time favorite songs.
And at the end it repeats the scripture Psalms 121 1&2
Over and over again..
This verse is so powerful.
It can be used in any situation.
It reminds me that I am not alone.
It reminds me that I don't have to do everything myself...
And just knowing that I have no control..
Knowing that it isn't my hand or mouth that has to lead the way..
Relieves so much of my stress.
Because as long as I trust in God and look to Him,
I'm free.
