Passion's Flower

Petals against my skin
remind me of your
soft touch…

I close my eyes
and remember
the colors of our
passion.

In silence, I linger
    in my memories
and as each new
thought blossoms,
my cheeks
take on the hues
of passion’s flower.

Memories are so powerful. They can make us grow or either cause us to go backwards in the day.
