Each Go Our Way

Can't bring myself to voice goodbye,
the courage flees my soul to say,
the words evade my heart, thereby,
let us just part, each go our way.

The courage flees my soul to say,
the words that choke upon my tongue.
Let us just part, each go our way.
Wish we had met when we were young.

The words that choke upon my tongue
convey that we must sadly end.
Wish we had met when we were young,
'tis just too late for us, my friend

Convey that we must sadly end,
we smile and hug, we give a nod.
'Tis just too late for us, my friend;
this path will bring us both to God.

We smile and hug, we give a nod.
The words evade my heart, thereby,
this path will bring us both to God.
Can't bring myself to voice goodbye.
