full bellies feed off of
a god they never get to see
we strangle each other out
in hopes of being the next
commander in chief
of the world at large
revolutions are left overs
from a time long gone
and i do not believe
in my lifetime
i will ever be able to feast on one
we all got good ideas
we all got no means
and we all live for the
possibility that someone
will do something
no one does
except for the suicide bombers
and hippies who travel by foot
to wherever the Man is
so they can damn them
but still
nothing changes
but the day
jesus could come down and heal us all
but he is too afraid
so he stays up there
like the president does
and watches it all fall apart
oh the sacred heart of the world
that has been cut out
and strung up
on disillusions
for us to grasp at

"Jesus could come down and heal us all but he is too afraid..." so moving, so powerful, so awful, yet so true. You may have trailed off, as you say, but it all comes together so well. A very poignant piece, very well written. Thank you for sharing this.
