Writer's Block..
How can this be
I bet you have
So many things
That you have seen
That leak inspiration
Maybe a person
A video for a song
Or a destination
Gather your thoughts
Grab some paper
Find your favorite pen
And then a comfy spot
Just sit and write
About whatever
Daytime or night
Maybe about the weather
If you get stuck
I wish you good luck
Go back and read
Close your eyes
Find your imagery
Take a deep breath
You may find in your mind
Something you thought
Had been left behind...

As I replied to Swan, this is something I have been doing for years, and it is how I figured out I could even write poetry. Just by writing, going back and finding things that seem to have deeper meaning, etc. Thank you very much for this wonderful comment. This piece was written for a contest, and was meant to be inspirational. I just hope that it works for it's purpose and the host of the contest gets something useful from it.

I have always done that. I always sit and write, and write and write some more. That is where most of my work comes from, just sitting somewhere with blank paper and an assortment of writing tools and just writing. Thats how I got started believe it or not. Noticing how some of the things I wrote had rhythm if not rhyme or both, going back and working with that, then turning it into something. Thank you for this wonderful comment dear friend, I appreciate it very much.
