it took me a moment to understand this, for some reason. I was thinking there was a break after "belief" but once I removed that (in my mind) it made sense.
I like this write. Congrats on the HM.

Damn.
How true are those words and how many times have I said I'm not a poet, nor writer
Bravo!

How true! You said it perfectly...no matter how good we are, we know that we will never be good enough in our minds...great depth in so few words...another great job...best to you!

I bare to differ with you, many know their worth and still pen suchn great works. Good luck. Rose.

I couldn't agree more! There are too many of us that vanity insists we call ourselves poets. One day....maybe

All the best with this. Excellent!

Beautifully said and in so few words (a talent I admire). Even in disagreement we can (usually) find that common ground.
Lovely write, best of luck in your contest.

How absolutely true. In my time here on AP I have read poems that equal and, in my opinion, surpass much of what has been written by the "famous poets". Yet, I think most of us would say we don't deserve to be called "poet". I hope my comment makes sense in spite of the fact that my computer will not let me access the picture prompt for this write.
