My world becomes smaller and smaller –
The sky fills with the haze of your breath.
They gather and condensate every time
Your lips open and say those words on fire.
And even the rain ignites with warmth,
Nourishing my world not by earth,
But by the tender flesh of your softness.
I let my fingers run and tumble down
End to end on the valleys of your skin,
For my feet forgets the art of walking
Now when my strength only flows
Between you and these sheets.
Every other voice becomes your voice.
Even my eyes can find no light unless
You hold my hand and walk beside me
On the roads of my world,
Growing smaller and smaller each day
Until it can contain no other than you and me.
