I did not imagine it as a rupture,
a mistake in the blood,
a sullen internal moonrise.
I thought a constant waterfall –
the sort you imagine
to help you get to sleep –
had carried it out in a cradle,
and set it to shore,
and you were only crying
with sea-sickness
at the tide it left behind.

This was a deep take on the prompt, very abstract in expression but thought provoking as well. thank you very much for sharing.. best of luck in the contest..

an abstract but nevertheless quite a thought evoking piece from your chosen prompt. quite deep and mature thinking shines through this, well done.
