When you touch my skin, I feel so warm.
I sizzle.
But I am so cold.
I can hardly feel your touch anymore.
The colors are changing-
Where have my blue skies gone?
The tide has risen,
closing the road to my heart
clogging my arteries with tiny grains
of remembrances and regret.
I think of him often
Sometimes while I talk to you.
I re-read the words I've written
They seem foregin; like they were written by someone else.
I'm still so cold.
It's 80 degrees today
I lay in the sun,
Bleach away my darkness
Replace my thoughts of him with you.
I begin to feel warmth.
There is a blue sky today,
Big, fluffy white clouds.
When will it drift away?
I feel a rain coming soon
But when it's gone
the season will have changed
And things will be refreshed and new.
I can't wait for spring!
When blue skies and rainy days mingle...
and nothing feels the same.
