Here I rest, after journeys end
Where long winds of darkened sky place me,
Viewing from a height safe from prying eyes,
But close enough to see what lies below.
Your saviour of truth,
the darkened angel of minds storms,
turning what once was light,
to a shadow of the past.
Never fear the dreams you hold,
never wonder from where I came,
from within every heart lies a shadow,
and there is where you will find me.
Blending in with the surroundings,
I still do an angels work,
keeping darkness from taking over,
with the courage born of the midnight skies.
I will be your guide,
never cast me off without thought,
because both sides of life need care,
not all that is dark is evil.

This was really great! I loved this side of the prompt! The story line was so strong.. I couldn't stop reading it once I started! You did such a wonderful job.. thank you very much for sharing. best of luck in the contest..

for within the heart there does lie a shadow and all that is dark is not evil...for from the dark the light grows brighter and to some a protector does emerge...has winner wrote all over it my love
