Changes

I have turned many pages
In the book of my life,
Each new chapter full of fear
Doubts that haunt my dreams

I have known pleasures in life
And I have suffered pain,
I have known the heights of love
And suffered crippling loss

Each experience is a lesson
An endless cycle of wisdom,
Each event molding who I am
Showing what I may yet become

I stand on the shore
Looking to the endless stars,
I reach up but can not grasp them
I seek answers to endless qustions

Answers are meaningless
they teach us nothing,
The questions show us truth
lead us to enlightenment

What I do today is important
Tomorrow is yet to exist,
How I feel now is important
Tomorrow's feelings do not exist

Live in the moment and grasp it
Each pleasure must be savoured,
Our lives are too short
To be filled with past regrets
