I have known what it is to love
It is pleasure and pain combined,
I have known what it is to lose love
It is sorrow and joy combined
I can tell you what love is
Do you truly want to know?
Love is a precious blessing
And a soul destroying curse.
Her smile would stop my heart
Knowing it was for me alone,
Her eyes would shine like stars
As I lost myself in her gaze
To truly love a woman
Is to surrender yourself,
Lower all your barriers
And open up your very soul
To love is to be vulnerable
Not unlike a newborn babe,
Everything you are or hope to be
Given freely into her embrace
You trust without reservation
leaving no room for doubt,
knowing that she can destroy you
With just one cruel word.
When you are at your most vulnerable
With all your defenses gone,
She gently takes your hand
This is true love.
You will not find love in music
or in the words of poets,
Love is found in a simple gesture
A warm smile on a winter's day.

Congratulations on your gold
You speak so truthfully. Well done.

That was simply beautiful. It can be said by a woman about a man as well.

This is sweet. I wish I could put into words, and works the true feeling I wish to feel if a man truely, means what he says.
