Jewels

A winding road through emmense evergreens
Such a natural sight for the common eye to see.
But if you take a closer look you shall find,
A simple jewel hiddin within the vines.

Bright ruby feathers, milk chocolate feet,
Praying on a single strand of meat.
Wings spread and beak opened wide,
With a burst of agility it claims its prize.

And behind those emmense evergreens
Such a natural view for the common eye to see,
A little girl grasps in fright
As she witnesses such a glorious sight.
