Crystalline memories lie in the sand,
winter hues, a glacial touch,
four seconds of breath should you fall in.
The beachscape crisp, beneath dusky sky,
forlorn and dejected an impromptu sigh,
No more lovers to dip their toes.
Silkies hide, seeking warmer climes,
this empty space quietly dreaming,
it's a long time 'til summer calls.
Behind hidden doors,
fishermens sea shanties,
echoes through time,
heave away haul,
never forget the North Sea Breakers,
Upon this seashore.

The words in this piece give it just the right chill to paint a picture of the North Sea.
Reminds me of long dulled memories of visiting a relative in Aberdeen back in my prehistorical days as a very young child.
Good write.

I like this, very cool and gentle, calm just like the intention behind the painting.
A long time 'til summer calls - you were right, this was painted in early February !!
With best wishes
Tom
