With the mind of Christ
I see and hear with my heart
though both deaf and blind.
Author notes
Christ told us to believe nothing we see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears, therefore I am both deaf and blind to life's illusion: with His heart and mind, I see and hear God's truth clearly.

Nice Contrast!
This is a Haiku/Senryu with that aha moment! That last line gave me pause & then I read your notes & it all came into focus. I thought that was what you meant...I'm so glad you put the notes in there to clarify for those who may not be Bible students! Love this.

Hi Bonnie ! ! !
Well, my darling Alice, somehow I managed to delete your most encouraging review of "Both Deaf and Blind" instead of the reply I intended.
Anyway, you wrote:
"SEA angel commented on Both Deaf and Blind -- senyru Hi Bonnie!!!
Another heavenly masterpiece of words of wisdom. Using your gift to bring into clarity what might escape others trying to translate. One of your best writes and yet such a few words that speaks volumes of Truth. "
Thank you for always being there when I do manage to pop in for a few minutes. Here lately, Haikus or Senyrus have been about all the time I have for writing.
And, your applause is most appreciated.
Love you tons and more, SisBon

Terrific
Words one can live by. I like it.
Take care,

Indeep, Michael, when we finally attain the mind and heart of Christ, we then realize it is the only way to live in this critically ill world. Your encouragement is very much appreciated.

I have on my page at the topwe should all see with our hearts and not our eyes, as Jesus did.
So I agree with your words strongly. Well stated.

BTW I'm having a contest and would like you to join. Rose

When we finally and totally submit to our Father and Christ, God is so gracious as to give us the mind and heart of Christ, thus miraculous changes-- we see and hear not this world of tragic illusions, rather we see beyond, way beyond. Thank you so much for your encouraging words.
By the way, I checked out your contest and hope to put something together tomorrow. Wow! What a long list of negatives.
I love the idea of showing how each can result in postive ways.

Profoundly true.
A friend of mine here, tells me on a regular basis, "Put the Christ before you." I know he meant the mind of Christ. What better to lead the blind and dumb?
Not only did he do that, he gave them eyes and ears that worked!

love, Karen

"Profoundly true" is SO true, Sis!
God is good and great and wonderfully gracious to this His handmaiden.
Thank you, dear one, for the encouraging words.
Love ya tons and more, SisBon

Very well done. It expresses the feeling of faith completely. If it can lead you to see with your heart, the senses of sight and hearing are of little importance.

Thank you, dear brother, for the encouraging words. As you say, seeing and hearing with the mind and heart of Christ makes the corporal senses of no value at all!
I love the way I see and hear today, as opposed to those years of my ignorant youth.
Love you much! SisBon
