Thru mists of times eternal light
and travels of the past
I walk alone with head held high
and know the well worn path
Life calls aloud to live it full
and be the best of all
Yet in the course I travel now
I stumble here and fall
No answer comes to sing to me
of what I should expect
Nor puzzle solved of one's own heart
how can this time project
That one who cares for all good things
and pleads for much more time
Alas we get no guarantee
of how much we will find
Take heed of time it is your friend
and not squander it with frills
And happy is the one that knows
That time cannot stand still....

Thank you for your entry in the final contest of the series. An excellent poem dealing with the inevitable end for us all ... death. You rhyme and flow are very good and the poem was a joy to read.
All the best and please join us in future contests we may run for rhyming poetry.
