Childish Paintings

Missing image

Image taken from the contest.

There was once a part of me
(somewhere beneath my passion;
and the purple satin sheets
where we made love
and beside our childish paintings
that we rendered as our future)
that hoped I wouldn’t fall
in love with you. Not this much.
Just in case fate cast it’s hands
downward, nipped our edges
and drew us apart.

"Char"
By JoAn Greinert

Recently I've been writing about human emotions and thoughts. That's why I've tied what I personally saw in the image with human relation.
I find it amazing the naivety love can bring to anyone, no matter what age.

This should definitely place in this contest. This is a wonderful piece and I wish you the best of luck. You definitely did a good job working the human relation into this piece. Very well written and expressed. Like the words jump out and grab you. I love how you used the word fate in this piece. Very powerful and seemingly emotionally driven write.
Wonderful! Definitely a candidate for gold if it were my contest. Well done!!!!

Oh...this is gold, sweetheart. Such a sharp reminder to all of us of the frailty of love...of the fear we all suppress that our happiness could be shattered. It's both wonderful and scary when someone breaks down the walls we've built to protect our hearts.
