Shall We Dance

Missing image
I look over your way ,
times you never knew.
How I so embrace the love within,
I see upon your face a love so true.

Years we have embraced,
and learned to love.
Baby I want you to know,
you so hold my heart,
and it's more than enough.

Shall we dance,
as our minds find the way.
To love and live for better days.
Shall we dance,
through thought and often touch.
Baby I want to tell you,
time is love.

As age creeps upon us and we so change,
slower in our walk and often our minds play games.
The look we still hold keeps the heart strong in what we do,
oh honey you have to know our love is true.

Knowing one day we shall part for this we all know,
the  one left behind will have the memories to forever hold.
Times of such love will show them the way,
to the light where lovers souls meet on that faithful day.

Shall we dance,
as our minds find the way.
To love and live for better days.
Shall we dance,
through thought and often touch.
baby I want to tell you,
time is love.

She wakes one morning,
expecting to see that look.
And her man her lover is silent as a closed book.
She runs to his side and heaven is upon his face,
peace he does show and she cries for it's too late.

All those memories come rushing in,
and with her feeble hands so cradles his face and then.
As her tears falls she whispers for she knows he shall hear,
just how much she so loves him and thanks him for all those years.

She whispers;
one day we shall dance,
as God calls me home your light will show me the way.
For in heaven their will be no better place.
One day we shall dance,
wings spread wide and the light about us there,
where true love is forever shared.
Hear me whisper baby as I tell you,
it was heaven the time we spent was true.
For honey I saved the last dance for you.
