You said you loved me years ago
When my eyes still had their starry glow
You said you loved me in a fairy tale
Where you were a princess, ivory pale
The two of us could dance in a castle
Or kiss and dream on a bed of roses
We could strike hilareous, sexy poses
But you left me stranded, alone and weeping
The silence suffocates us, distance creeping
You have fallen in love with another man
One that is brawny, popular and tan
The love we shared has melted away
It seems like only yesterday
You broke my heart.
Author notes
Yeah just one of those You-Broke-My-Heart-And-Left-Me-To-Die-Bastard poems...don't really like 'em myself (mostly because I've never EXPERIENCED this myself) so blah, if you hate it I don't blame you LOL.

The rhyme is good and it tells an all too often told tale. One suggestion; that is to put another line break and separate the last line a bit to put in a pause. Thank you for entering.
