I remember that time,
when you stopped on the street and picked up a worm.
It had been raining,
and you didn't want it to drown.
And that time,
when you came in and talked about the crow with the broken
wing...
you saved it and brought it home,
nursed it back to health then let it go.
You're one fake tooth,
dread lock hair...
The gate you walked with,
and the way you smiled,
light coming to your eyes...
Everytime you talked about how you would grow up to be a
horrible father,
I told you otherwise.
Everytime you said you were going to be nothing,
a bumb on the street,
I corrected you.
Because to me,
you were the smartest person around.
You could do anything that you wanted to.
Anything that you put your mind to...
But now it appears that what you'd said ended up being
true...
at least, partly.
Because you'll never be anything,
and you'll never know what kind of father that you'll
make...
Never know if writing is something that you'd want to
persue,
if that girl you were with was the one right for you...
And it sucks,
because even when we split it was cool
in the sense that i always knew,
i'd end up with who i'm meant to be with,
just as you would to.
Except you won't.
You'll never graduate from highschool,
or college,
or get married,
or again,
ever have kids.
You'll never know.
And i'll never see you're smile again.
Or hear your laugh.
Watch you walk.
And worms everywhere will drown
in people's tears.
In my tears.
And all these years of knowing you,
will stay with me for eternity.
Until i once again get to share them with you.
