Remembering, a flash of me;
a happy child on daddy’s knee.A bouncy ride, such fun such glee,
remembering a flash of me.
My grade school dance on daddy’s arm,
Following steps with clumsy charm,
my grade school dance on daddy’s arm.
My first date came, dad looked so sad,
Maybe he knew that I was glad,
my first date came, dad looked so sad.
Walking the isle my life was planned,
Said my vows and exchanged the bands,
walking the isle my life was planned.
I raised my kids and lived my life,
a caring mom and loving wife.
My lessons came through trial and strife;
I raised my kids and lived my life.
I loved my dad through all these years,
Yet now I’m left with painful tears;
I loved my dad through all these years.
His headstone reads “Here rests a man,
a loving soul throughout Gods plan”.
His headstone reads; here rests a man.
Remembering, a flash of me;
A bouncy ride, such fun such glee,
remembering, my dad and me.
