The sun sets quickly these days,
from up above the rainfall.
Pink, purple, and orange tonalities
slip quickly over the world's end.
The rain falls up above my fingertips
10 miles north of nothing at all.
The droplets shatter the clouds,
and water makes our halos bend.
The wind dies down when we stand here,
heeding our silent call.
We stand in the stillness,
Our hearts reading the messages we send.
But the sun sets quickly these days,
and soon it will be too dark to see.
Blind to each other but aware of the space,
we walk hand in hand, eyes shut,
one last time.

Awww such a beautiful choice of words, especially the boldened lines, these make me melt, they are beautiful.
