that morning, nine - eleven,
started like any other day,
but somewhere in the still of the morning,
an airplane went astray,
in the fire and smoke,
through shreiks and cries,
our heros fought,
and helped many survive.
saving other lives,
but giving thier own.
they sleep in peace now,
they've gone home.
those firemen,
didn't know death stood waiting.
they couldn't have known,
they were only human.
in the fire and flames,
they died that day,
they gave up thier lives,
for those they could save.
they kissed thier family goodbye,
just before they left,
something we take forgranted,
they knew they may have been headed for death.
those soldiers,
didn't know you,
but gave their lives,
for your freedom.
we haven't any clue how long we have on earth,
we don't know when we will die.
we're unsure of what the future holds,
and when we will say goodbye.
we're only human,
nothing more,
a body of flesh and blood,
penetrable by bullets and steel,
every second, someone dies,
defending your rights
your freedom, your life,
your choices and free will.
this is for our fallen heros,
and the ones defending our lives,
to our boys out on the front lines,
dieing, so we can sleep safely tonight.
to our heros that died
in the smoke and the haze,
who went down fighting,
through bullets and guns ablaze
fighting for everything we've ever known,
defending the place we call home,
your legacy lives on
even though you're gone.
the young soldier,
fallen hero of war,
down in the midst of battle,
sleep in peace forever more.
those soldiers on the front lines,
those firemen in the heat,
for our fallen heros
who gave thier lives so we might live.
those that have fallen,
gone but not forgotten,
they will sleep in peace now,
far from the troubles of warm
they've gone home to be with jesus,
in peace and love forever more.
