it may be said and done
but our lives barely have begun
for now we must live
mourning for those who left us
the buildings are gone
but the impact is as huge as the dawn
for those who died
are lost with no hope at all
the planes crashed and burned
by attack, we have learned
and many people mourn every day
for the ones who were lost
the twin towers fell
and we shall ring no victory bell
for they aren't coming back
and we're not going back in time
nine eleven, nine eleven
why did you send so many people to heaven
to leave their families alone
and crying for their loss
the incedent was tragic
and since there's no such thing as magic
the innocent people condemned to die
are now pronounced dead
we try to overcome the outcome
but to forget those people really is dumb
for we need to remember
to keep their spirits alive
so for those who died on nine eleven
watching over us from heaven
i bless you and pray
for we shall miss you each and every day
Author notes
i am sorry for those who lost their families in nine eleven and although i don't know who they are, i shall pray for them to overcome their terrible loss

Yes, they will be missed by a lot of people. I know that the families would appreciate this one.
Thanks for your entry

So many died and for what. The others weren't defending their country, they had no reason to attack. God be with us. good luck in the contest. Rose

A sad tribute to those most deserving of such an honor. Thank you for the submission.
The dark blue was a little hard to read on the black for me. I did have to highlight it to read it properly. Maybe a slightly lighter blue? -
Couldn't agree with you moer; this day every year is so hard for so many people across the world all linked by this one terrible event; it's terrifying that such grief can be unleashed with such 'ease' by the orders of one person ....

I loved the lines that said "nine eleven, nine eleven
why did you send so many people to heaven" It remided me of a children's rhyme (and that's not a bad thing!). Great write! -
