The words shifted on my paper
Daring to give life a try
Wriggled from their inky bars
Suddenly I find I wish to die
The book I held under my arm
I loved all of what I revealed
But somehow it came back to me
Of something I never meant to seal
My pages are torn, my heart is worn
A sudden change in beat
I'm ready for my utterance
A nonexistence finally complete
Tell me stories, tell my lies
If that's all it would take
I don't want anymore clouds
No more angry scribbles to make
I'm tired of fighting
Something who was never there
Tired of finding my old love
And trying hard not to care
I am going to find my reason
Why it is, how it came to be
That I blow with every season
And in my book, creations live
They scream my story grim
I hope one day someone will hear
Author notes
Yes I did type "something who" on purpose, it's apart of the poem...it's not a mistake.
