Scurrilous Sky

Scurrilous streaks of lava
strike fire

sweating hands wring starlight,
as clouds crack with brittle breaks
of keening.

Swirling animosities smother
the world view
with burdened cloud spill,

as the enigmatic eye of vengeance
reveals quarreling gullies
burgeoning.

Author notes

prompt: angry sky

Oh I do love this piece! You have penned such a dark, clever interpretation of the prompt. Excellent!
Thank you so much for your entry
