At rainbows end no pot of gold,
will you find lying there
No buried treasure or leprechaun,
no girl with golden hair
Your wildest dreams will not come true,
the future you will not see
You made find nothing there at all,
asking just how can that be
But take a friend to the rainbows end,
and magic you can make
By venturing out in the world,
just to take a break
A bottle of wine some earthy cheese,
or box of favorite snacks
Sit and chat the hour’s away,
while both of you relax
In the end your pot of gold,
you will have brought along
So celebrate them all you can,
in poems, stories and songs
When looking for the rarest gems,
or finest booty in the land
It just may be the guy or girl,
who’s holding your left hand
