I hate the way you mess with me
I can't tell if you're serious
I hate the way you cut me down
And that really makes me furious
I hate the way you laugh at me
When I don't think it's funny
I hate the way you call me names
Like cutie, sweety, and honey
I hate the way you compliment me
For no apparent reason
I hate the way you stare at me
All these years, throughout the season(s)
I hate the way you have to lie
Whenever I'm around
And even though I try to ask
You never make a sound
I hate the way that you rarely call
You make me wait all day
But then when we're together
You always ask me "please, stay."
I hate the way you look at me
With those blue, hopeful eyes
As if you'd think I'd change my mind
To be with you, instead of this other guy
I hate the way you talk to me
Like I'm the center of your universe
I hate how I can't stay mad at you
Or our friendship might get worse
I hate the way you think of me
Like I'm so perfect for you
I hate the way you make me feel...
...that I don't know what to do
What did you think

Stunning, dear. This reminds me of 'Ten Things I Hate About You.' The rhyme and meter flowed greatly. Love it!

a sad but beautiful poem
hatred is like a virus it spreads over any love in your heart and hides any trace of love there is
inside but where there is love, true love for a person
all hatred is discarded with the passing of time. -
I think this is great, it had a nice flow to it. I like the feelings and emotion behind it too. Keep penning...

This is a really great poem.
Sometimes before we love someone,
We fucking hate their guts.
I know this well
Great write.
