Here I stand numb in the churning silence of nonexistence
An afterthought that foreshadowed this infinite longing
Longing that has led me astray into the presence of a wasted dream
A dream ruined by the lies you failed to hide
I find myself silenced…
Tied down by the empty promises…
Tied down by broken sanity…
Here I stand, stilled by the desire to set things aright
But the poison of your lies have a corrosive effect on my soul
The acrid taste of memories on my lips torment me to the core
I am the emblem of nonexistence
I am the emblem of a withered dream

You're inspiring, as always, even when you're in your most off-beat moods.
Love you

You forgot to put in the saying from the rules.
I can imagine this in nightmare form beautifully! And I see you used all the categories with such a flow that rolls in the mind. So, you're the first to do the challenge I believe.
"Tied down by broken sanity"
There is a huge punch coming from those words. Like an emotional kick in the gut! Which I love in poems.
