I Am

Missing image
I am Maiden
I am Warrior
There are two
sides to me

I am soft
to the touch
I fight
to the death

I am your lover
in the night
I fight beside you
to make everything right

I am Maiden
I am Warrior
There are two
sides to me

~Lady Raven~

This is a great write. This is brilliant and the interpretation was fantastic. I liked the length too, it was easier to read and thought it was successful.

Wow, i like this a lot. It's a great pic and i love your interpretation of it. I have to say i would have liked it if it was longer, i think a lot more could be said about her, but this is a well written piece and i like it a lot.

Enchantress and crusader is the view I behold. Loved the description of the pic, these two ladies are looking definately capable of subdueing whatever should come thier way. I am still thinking over NaughtyGrlRed's comment, what a show that would be if only a candle or brazier was lit within the folds of that tent! Lovely and very thought prevoking write vampira 1665.

I think your poem describes the very essence of womanhood. We all in our own way are fighters. and yet we maintain to keep that softness of our very femnity intact. It is a great balancing act that most of us have perfected. I would call this poem a celebration of womanhood. Loved the picture too. very apt, great find.

Dude. I totally know what it's like to have a split-personality. Warrior-Maiden... is there anything better to be? It's the best of both worlds.

    Wow...this was great...
One looks like "Damsel in distress" and the other one looks like a warrior...But it seems like the "damsel in distress" has an alter ego, like when she's at home... She's this mindless, helpless woman. But when she's out...It's like she's a whole new girl in control...Well done.

I really enjoyed this. It is short but to the point. A powerful woman can stroke your neck or slit it just as you deserve. What I see in the picture is a woman who would fight for her man and the other woman would fight for her King.
    Keep writing.

The shortness gets to me, but other than that it's interesting to read through.

those two girls are done with men
they seek confort and love from each other
    after the sun goes down
    they make their way
    to some tent
    strip down
    playing with each other
    kissing
    pulling hair
    finger f*ucking
    they break out the cucumbers
    cuz they didn't
    have vibro's back then
they make wild passionate love all night
    with hidden carnal animal knowledge

    naughty

    good

This brings up thoughts of Eleanor of Aquataine. She wanted her knights to be gentlemen as well as fighters. (Picture if you will NFL football players performing poetry and singing.) Not an easy job but she managed being the strong leader she was.

Beautiful poem that should remind us that there are two sides to each coin.

I can relate even though I am a guy. I am a warrior because all I do is fighting but I still have a nicer side to me. But sometimes it's hard living two lives. I always wanted to write a poem like this. This is great. -Richie
