I took a chance and gave you all
Yet watched her as she died
She had meant the world to me.
So why'd you take her from my side?
I listen now to the silence
That once was filled with joy
And all I hear are the painful cries
She uttered before she died
You call yourself the Savior
Who stands for all mankind
But all I see are the broken bones
Of those you left behind.
I curse the day I heard your name
From them who thought you cared
And if I could I'd caste you out
Of that lofty castle in the sky
Where now you sit in all your glory
Listening to Angels sing you praise.
While those you call your children
Are caste aside; their world ablaze.

An excellent work spun in darkness and rhytm. I love that third verse:
You call yourself the Savior
Who stands for all mankind
But all I see are the broken bones
Of those you left behind.
Stinging, reflective and dark well done. Best of luck in the contest. -
OOH I hope you don't mean this
I know what a great poet you are and I do hope this rant is for the contest ONLY.
very well written though.
