Beauty in the eye of beholder,
at least that's what is said.
Opposites attract like magnets,
thats why are masters wed.
We may look like quite the pair,
and together we do not belong.
They think we're best of friends,
oh they couldn't be more wrong.
We may share a home together,
but the first chance that I get.
This furball will become history,
and her nine lives you can bet.
Oh no the masters just told us,
neither will be staying around.
Because we won't get along,
we are both off to the pound!!

Very Cute
At first I thought it was going to explain why they should be together even though the were so different. I like the rhythm and rhyme, my type of poem. I love the way the story unfolds. The ending was the best. -
