I’m in the car, radio on, listening to a call-in show,
Couples are asked to phone in, answer questions for some dough,
When Rose and Frank took the plunge – they’d been married ‘bout fifty years,
And what came out of Rose’s mouth… well, I couldn’t believe my ears!
They quizzed Frank first, then his wife, all answers needed to be the same,
The subject matter of the probe, was to embarrass those in the game,
Rose did well, with correct responses, it wasn’t too complex,
Until she stumbled on the final one – “Where was the strangest place you’ve ever had sex?”
She stuttered and she mumbled, her discomfort level grew,
The money was so enticingly close, she didn’t know what to do,
In the background Frank was heard, urging her to tell the truth,
Since he had already told the world, they’d done it in a sidewalk telephone-booth!
But poor old Rose was elsewhere, she had the complete wrong idea,
And being so close to the prize, she finally overcame her fear,
“If Frank has said it, then what’s the harm, the moment has already passed,”
With a heavy sigh, a barely audible whisper she said, “I give him sex right up his arse!”
Now I blame my crash on that line, I almost choked on my own spit,
And I smacked the car in front of me, while I was laughing I must admit,
I was also rear-ended (just like Frank!), and after a little investigation,
It turns out all three drivers were listening to the same radio station!
