Author notes

This was inspired by a recent practice session with a young air gun marksman. "On the paper" is a shooters' term which describes just getting on the target--after you get "on the paper" then you work at hitting the center.

    I always love your poems. :-) It may be inspired by a specific target practice, but it makes me think of anything I'm aiming for... maybe I don't get it on the first try (like the swiss cheese metaphor, haha). Have a wonderful weekend.
