He stumbles into the tavern
glasses tinkling and the hum
of low cracking balls, saunters
up to the bar and orders a rum
He says hello to the gentleman
that stands next to him, then turns
to gaze around the bar, catching
a crowd gathered beyond decorative ferns
He steps in that direction with curiosity
and his drink in hand, whispers and laughter
has him slip between patrons, to see
the fuss, a poster leading to the rafter
He notices her legs, her attire,
the place, then looks upon her smiling face
When rage reaches its peak, he’s read
“At home is where you will find what you seek.”

What a great way to end this! I love it. The storyline is quite catchy and amusing and leaves one slightly spellbound, waiting for that final moment of closure. Well done poet!
