there is a gossamer web on my window frame
I stare at it and wonder how long has it been there
long enough for its weaver to have moved on to newer corners
leaving behind this tell tale sign of what once was
how sad that two can share a house and yet live seperately
on the window sill is a small wet circle
a tear from my still damp eye
shed for one who left without saying goodbye
the spider will have started afresh
a new begining in the same house
time for me to do the same
throwing open the window
I inhale deeply and smile

Honey Bear... guess what? I LOVE THIS POEM!
Aye, I do, that. Love this poem so much, I am carrying it away to Poetry Planet, where it will be enjoyed by hundreds of visitors. Thank you VERY much for sharing your talent, beautiful lady.

This is well-expressed and positive.
A nice comparison drawn with the spider's new beginning.

From dust to dust, ashes to ashes. Better be good for the comost heap. I like your symbols and how they transmute and are reborn. Very nicely catching an array of feelings you serve a full cup of anguish without being overwrought and catch the sunrise without being trite.
Love, Tom B

'how sad that two can share a house and yet live seperately'
this is a sad line, I know how this is through watching my sister and her ex husband in their last few years of marriage.
I love the cheery ending to the poem, such a nice way to help readers to think with a positive attitude.
