Insatiable

we brewed like coffee
on the kitchen counter
with dark chocolate syrup
within easy reach

in the attic
drunk on grandma's french vanilla
we shocked her russian masks
into open-mouthed silence

on the fifty third floor balcony
of your office building
the wind howled and groaned
died with a soft moan

in the parking lot
neon washed us red
while rain lashed our windows
begging to be let in

inside our bedroom
of midnight-blue satin sheets
tangerine cinnamon candles
and soft petals of roses ...

we slept like babies
while  a full moon went by

    Wonderful

A very creative write. And so deserving of the bronze. Congratulations.

A whirlwind of emotions from several different perspectives and blended with beautiful metaphor. Loved this. C

I saw every image clearly in my mind...I like how this ends with that feeling of contentment. Such a warm, cosy read.

Stunning, breathtaking, sensual, beautiful, and just damn good.

I'm knocked out. The first two stanzas and the last two lines are perfection.

    Good luck.
