This world has owned many,
But I would never be one,
Cause no matter how much it is filled with honey,
At the right time, it would soon be gone.
I am owned by someone,
celestially divine,
and ever since the world begun,
into His loving hands, I am forever confined.
This world tried to destroy my path,
and tried everything to blow my light away,
and their victory is really a fact,
and they even made me the weakest of their prey.
I am protected by someone,
but how could this be?
I was left alone and my future is gone,
how could I trusted thee?
My eyes stared at an open space,
where darkness is the rule,
I never know how to live in this place,
so in it, this world called me a fool.
My feet started walking into what I thought is nowhere,
but it's really a strange thing that I could stand,
At this point, I never thought I would dare,
to do something so impossible and offhand.
An endless and narrow path is what I chose to walk to,
and I was surprised by something so bright,
a familiar hand extended and that's the cue,
I am saved again of that heavenly light.
Father, why are you so late?
I suffered from different kinds of pain,
I thought you forgot me and left me at wait,
but thanks, into that world, I am abstained.
"Daughter, this world had tried to keep my children away from me,
and the only thing I have to do is to keep on waiting,
so that if a child comes back to me, though it's not a guarantee,
at least, those who are in good faith, would see the destruction of the enemies that I'll bring"
On that reason, I believe,
that my being with you,
a possession I am retrieved,
into this world I could only say is "adieu!"
But I would never be one,
Cause no matter how much it is filled with honey,
At the right time, it would soon be gone.

Author notes
None of us lives with regards to himself only, and no one dies with regard to himself only; for both if we live, we live to Jehovah, and if we die, we die to Jehovah, therefore, both if we live and we die, WE BELONG TO JEHOVAH.

Your poems have this sort of tang to it. I like this one. Though, honestly...I prefer the KJV better. I don't know, just felt like mentioning it. And no...it's not to long.
