When doors are closed

How many voices fall into silence without a chance to speak?
Truths of pain and grief stealing childhood away go unspoken.
How long can mouths stay closed until secrets begin to leak?
Bruises paint arms rainbow colors before the chains are broken.

How many cries of sorrow ring out only to be unheard?
Cuts to numb the pain lace wrists that are deep in pain.
How many different scarring visions till innocence is blurred?
Sights children hiding from the living- unable to camplain.

When the door is closed how many tears are hidden while staining cheeks?

i love the third lines of both stanzas and the last line is just great

the first stanza is absolutly brilliant.
the third line is my favourite. on of the best lines i've ever read. -though the last does challenge it.

this poem is quite possibly the best phrased piece of work i've ever read.

You have a punctuation problem in the eighth line, it's complain that you wanted to use.

an absolutely gorgeous write, capturing the ideals of cutting in a delicate, sensitive way as they should be captured.

My favorite line is 'how many different scarring visions until innocence is blurred.' Mostly because I love myself a good paradox :]

    An excellent work, my friend!
